A Raffle, perhaps?

How would you feel about a raffle in order to raise funds for the pin ceremony?
What should we raffle off?
And how much should the tickets cost?

A Thank You and Getting Back to Voluntary Donations

Thank you for your suggestions concerning fundraising. 
The biggest help we need, as of now, will be from the PTSA at DASH.  They would be instrumental in helping us.  Also, we are trying to secure our position to sell snacks and drinks during Field Day (which is coming up.  I am uncertain of the exact date- but I will try to find out soon).


VOLUNTARY DONATIONS:  I WILL BEGIN COLLECTING VOLUNTARY DONATIONS AGAIN FROM STUDENTS.  Remember: they are voluntary.  You DO NOT HAVE to donate.  BUT IF YOU DO, I CAN PROMISE YOU THAT YOU ARE DIRECTLY FACILITATING THE MAIN FUND FOR OUR PIN CEREMONY.  Yes- i.e., VOLUNTARY DONATIONS ARE ALL THAT WE HAVE, AS OF NOW.  I will check names off.  Donations of $5, $10 will be GREATLY APPRECIATED.  Thank you to those who have already donated. 


Plus, the corporate donations and stuff fell through.  It's way too messy.  Who knew everything had to go to headquarters?


INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS: If you know someone (parent, relative, acquaintance, family friend) who would like to donate money to benefit the 9th grade class, have them write a check with that amount, and make it out to Design and Architecture Senior High.  Then, have him/her attatch a letter stating his/her name and that they would like to donate this amount of money to the 9th grade class at Design and Architecture Senior High.  I will try to create a pre-typed form, so that all you have to do is write a check and sign the form.  BUT FOR NOW, JUST FOLLOW THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS ON MAKING A PERSONAL DONATION.


PLEASE DIRECT ALL VOLUNTARY DONATIONS (from students/other individuals) EITHER TO ME (the president) OR OUR TREASURER.

Connections matter.

Okay, so we've temporarily stopped the voluntary donations.  But, if you would like to still donate (remember- this is strictly voluntary), just drop off your donations either with me (your class president) or the treasurer.  


However, if you have any connections to PEOPLE OR BUSINESSES who YOU KNOW would be very willing to make a generous donation to our Pin Ceremony (AGAIN- WE NEED $1,000 BY January!) then have them make a check out to Design and Architecture Senior High, and write a letter stating the amount of money donated, their name, and that they intend for this money to be used for 9th grade class of DASH, as best as they see fit to use it (this way, we can use to money for additional events as well).


So...yes.  Connections do matter.  And also, if you have a parent who is in the PTSA, please notify them of this information and of this blog.  Thank you very much.


We're getting...eh...somewhat closer to our goal.

A Change of Plans

Hi.  If you're new to the blog, welcome.
If you've been here before, you may have noticed a change.  Well, I've decided to temporarily remove some postings until I can verify them. 
And by the way- I was told that we are not allowed to solicit money from students or anyone, so the voluntary donations will have to stop.  But, there are still other ideas for fundraising (selling pencils, t-shirts, etc.) which would be allowed.  Contact me if you have any suggestions.
